Avinash Shetty is a well-known yakshagana artist based in Bangalore. He is the son of renowned yakshagana artist Ubaradka Umesh Shetty. Avinash acquired mastery in yakshagana under the guidance of his father. He started performing at the age of eight. He has two decades of experience in the field of yakshagana. Rama, Krishna, Vishnu, Drona, Kourava, Karna and Sudhanva are characters he loves to play.
A post-graduate in Biotechnology, MBA and MDP from IIM Calcutta, Avinash has worked in various Biotech MNCs and now cofounded a firm named Fusion Scientific in Bangalore. By profession he is an Entrepreneur but his love and passion for Yakshagana is unmatched.
