There are more than 60 books to discover. Deepa write mostly for children, but sometimes for grown-ups too.
Her stories are of different kinds, funny and sad, scary and mysterious. Some are inspired by her experiences, while others are just made up. She also likes to retell ancient Indian folktales, legends and myths. And she writes poems too. Writing poetry is one of the most important forms of creative expression for her.
At present she lives in the busy and crowded city of New Delhi. However, she grew up in a very quiet little town in the foothills of the Himalayas, where many of her stories are set.
