R Jagannathan is a journalist and author with over 48 years’ experience in business and general journalism. He has been part of many launch teams, including Business Today, DNA and Firstpost.com. Has also helped revamp many business publications as Editor or Editor-in-Chief: Financial Express, Forbes India, Indian Management, and BusinessWorld. He started his career with Financial Express as reporter/sub-editor in 1976 in Mumbai. Recent focus has been on digital commentary and journalism, having been associated with Firstpost.com, Moneycontrol,com, business-standard.com, and myiris.com. Last role was as Editorial Director of Swarajya magazine. Currently writes regular columns in mainstream and digital media, including Times of India, Business Standard, Swarajya, & ThePrint. Was awarded the Shriram Sanlam Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.
