Janaki Murali authored The Colour of Dawn in 2002 (publishers Harper Collins, India) and was selected as an emerging leader by the US government to travel to the US to study the US financial systems. She has interviewed world leaders – Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen; entrepreneur Lord Swaraj Paul; late management guru, C.K. Prahlad, several CEOs and industry leaders
Janaki campaigned the plight of child brides in Deccan Chronicler prompting government action in setting up rehabilitation centres for the affected girls. She started and program managed a very successful community empathy program and took it from baby steps to a very large global program impacting 250,0000 students and successfully transitioned it to another team. She has also created the first sustainability policy for Infosys.
