Bio
Kaveri Ponnapa is the author of The Vanishing Kodavas, an extensive cultural study of the Kodava people. With a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from SOAS, London, since the late 1990s she has been engaged in researching Kodava history and culture, and is a recipient of the Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy’s Gaurava Puraskara for her work. A Place Apart, her latest publication, is a translation and transliteration of poems from the Kodava language. Kaveri is an established food writer and has published and spoken extensively on the subject.
