For the last twelve years, Kingshuk Nag has been the editor of The Times Of India, the country’s leading newspaper in two different parts of the country (Ahmedabad and Hyderabad). Nag was awarded with The Prem Bhatia Award for 2002 for excellence in political reporting and analysis for the coverage of the Gujarat incidents.
A prolific writer on the pages of The Times Of India, Nag also writes a blog called Masala Noodles on the site of timesofindia.com that comments on contemporary issues and is widely read. He is presently engaged in conceptualizing a political and electoral system that may serve India better in what he calls the ‘Second Republic’.
Nag serves on the board of the School of Management of the University of Hyderabad (a central university) and is a member of the Hyderabad chapter of the CEO’s Club of India. He was also a member of the People’s Tribunal to examine cases of atrocities on minorities in 2007. In 2010, he was awarded the state level Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana award by the Orissa Rajiv Forum for excellence in journalism.
