Kynpham Sing Nongkynrih is an award-winning Khasi writer. His latest works are The Distaste of the Earth (Penguin), longlisted for the JCB Prize 2024, and the critically acclaimed, epic-length novel Funeral Nights (Westland/And Other Stories). He has co-edited several anthologies, recently Late-Blooming Cherries (HarperCollins), India’s first English-language haiku poetry anthology.
