
Bio
Madhu YN hails from Tumkur district. He completed his schooling at Navodaya Vidyalaya in Tumkur and earned an engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from the Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore. He also holds a Master’s degree in Software Systems from BITS Pilani. Madhu began his career at Infosys in Mysore and is currently employed at IBM. He resides in Bangalore.
Many of his stories have won awards in prestigious Kannada short story competitions. His debut work, Kaarehannu, won the 2019 Ee Hottige short story collection award. His second short story collection, FIFO, has been celebrated as a unique and innovative compilation of stories. His novel Kanase Kaadumallige, a rare blend of humor and romance in the young adult genre, is recognized as the first of its kind in Kannada and has been widely loved by readers. Another notable work, Dark Web, is praised as the first Kannada book to present technology-related themes in an engaging, story-like format. His latest book, Artificial Intelligence: Sarala Kannada Dalli (Artificial Intelligence in Simple Kannada), has garnered attention as the first Kannada publication on AI, explained in an accessible and easy-to-understand manner.
Currently, Madhu writes a biweekly column titled TechPost for the Vijay Karnataka newspaper, focusing on science and technology topics.
