Manoj Neelakanthan hails from Tiruvalla in Kerala. He is lucky to have been born in a household that prized the mother tongue while being schooled in English.
He believes in the power of the written word; in this case the translated word, in taking India to the world and opening new windows of appreciation. To him, translation is a painstaking endeavour that demands complete fidelity to both source and destination. And an instinctive feel for the world’s one is straddling, beyond vocabulary and wordplay.
He works as a design professional in a technology firm in Bangalore, where he lives with wife and two children.
