Bio
Sandhya Mendonca, a journalist turned media entrepreneur, author, biographer, and founder of Raintree Media, chronicles personal, cultural, and corporate history. She has authored/edited/published over two dozen coffee table books. She also co-authors books with industry leaders and politicians that are published by Harper Collins, Penguin, and Konark. Some of her books include Busted – Debunking Management Myths, with Ashok Soota and Peter de Jager and Breaking Barriers – The Story of a Liberal Muslim Woman’s Passage in Indian Politics, with Nafees Fazal. Her book Disrupt & Conquer – How TTK Prestige Became a Billion Dollar Company, with TT Jagannathan was shortlisted for the Gaja Business Book Awards 2022. Sandhya has also co-authored the book on India’s first electric vehicle, Reva EV – India’s Green Gift to the World, with Dr Sudarshan Maini. A gender and cultural evangelist, she writes a fortnightly column Female Gaze and hosts a podcast. Sandhya is the founder / festival director of India’s first multi-arts women’s cultural festival, Under the Raintree.
