
Bio
Sarath has been a Naturalist for the past 30 years. While dabbling in various professions (last one was a Stockbroker) he was chosen as the Chief Naturalist for Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR), a pioneer in eco-tourism in India, in 1996. Ever since, he has built a rich experience in guiding in India, Africa and the Poles.
He has travelled extensively to the wildlife sanctuaries in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, USA, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Botswana, Sumatra, Svalbard and Antarctica. He loves a bit of adventure combined with natural history and has summited the highest mountain in Africa, Mt.Kilimanjaro.
Sarath was a part of the core team who produced ‘Wild Karnataka’, a blue chip wildlife documentary, which showcases the incredible biodiversity of Karnataka, which also won a National Award. The 52 minute film took four years in the making. It has been produced on behalf of the Karnataka Forest Department and narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
