Sayari Debnath translates from Hindi and Bengali into English. Her first book of translation, The Keeper of Desolation by Chandan Pandey, was published earlier this year by HarperCollins India. A Bengali short story she translated was shortlisted for the 2024 Armory Square Prize for South Asian Literature in Translation. She is also a culture journalist at Scroll where she writes about books, art, and literary trends.
