Shalini Murthy іs an award-winning author recognized for her work іn both children’s literature and in the social contributions she has done. Her first book – “AJATHASHATHRU,” is an account of the social service done by the late Dr. U Chittaranjan. She then penned four children’s books in the “KATHEGALA THORANA” series. Her desire to inculcate positive values in children from an early age drives her passion for writing children’s stories and producing podcasts. The books feature illustrations by renowned artists, allowing children tо color them according tо their imagination. Some prominent awards for Shalini’s children’s stories include the N D’Souza Award for Children’s Stories from the Karnataka Sangha, Shimoga, and the Karnataka Lekhakiyara Sangha Award for Children’s Stories.
Shalini Murthy interest in artistic mediums extends beyond writing , into areas such as oil and watercolor painting and stained glass designs. Along with her friend, Shalini co-founded Glass Wonders, a business where they created designs for stained glass windows and other creative endeavors.
