Teaches Kannada at the Central Uiversity of Karnataka. He is a promising poet and critic. He has over five books to his credit. He is the recipient of Bharatiyabhasha Yuvapuraskar from Kolkota, and the Shrivijaya award from the Kannadasahitya Parishat.
